The 4th National Song's Choir Competition for University

As we celebrate National Heroes Day, Tarumanagara University made up the 4th choir competition for universities on November, 24th-25th 2011. This program which is held at Campus I, in coorporation with Social Ministry of Indonesia Republic and followed by 25 choir group from many universities. The agenda was included as The Art and Culture Week in the same place. Last Thursday, November 24th, the national song's competition was officially started with our National Anthem, Indonesia Raya by all the guest.Then, the comitee chairman of "Pekan Seni dan Budaya" (The Art and Culture Week), Mr.Ign Haryanto gave his speech for this 4th championship which followed by 25 university of Jakarta, West Java, Banten, and Central Java. He told that through the togetherness of choir, students will learn about life in harmony. The differences is not matter, but we look it as a challenge and opportunity to grow ,make a richness for each other, and do "bhinekka tunggal ika" as well. "Same as a song,  beautiful to be heard because it has made by different note ,which is create to be a great harmony and being a good simphony. The next speech, from Untar's own rector, Mr  dr ir. Chairy, SE., MM.  He said with the increasing of the contestants number year by year, showed that the Fight Songs are being popular in the middle of the collegers. "Through these songs, hopefully the values of the hero things will be remembered perfectly by the young genertion, especially the students, so we can increase the lue of togetherness, friendship, and nationalism, also the love to our country, Indonesia." said this kind rector. Next, The speech of Kopertis Coordinator of the 3rd Area, Mrs Dra Hj. Tetty Herawaty, SE., MM., and The 4th Leader of Social Resources and Poverty Reduction's Director General of Indonesian Republic's Social Ministry, Mr.Ir. H. Saroso, IAI. The sounds of the gongs, which played three times, officially opened the competition. After that, our MC introduced this competition's judges, Mr A Bambang Yusana (arranger of "Gugur Bunga" and choir leader), Mr A.G Sudibyo (lecturer from Communication Faculty of Indonesia University) and Mr Bonar Sihombing (composer and choir coach)  On this moment, Mr Sudibyo give a little speech, reapeating the last words of Mr Haryanto's speech "With the spirit of our heroes, we build the nation's characters."
